چکیده

Persian philosopher Avicenna (980‒1037) is famous for his thought experiment concerning the flying person,” “floating person” or “person suspended in air.” In this experiment, a person created air state of total sensory deprivation. Scholars have debated centuries what all about. Most scholars interpreted as essentially being about existence soul (al-nafs) its immateriality, substantiality, and self-awareness, well difference between body. my article, I will interpret Avicenna’s totally different manner within atmospheres breathing. reading, carefully examine fact neglected by that flight happens it defines person. With aerial attitude argue not above soul, but al-nafs respiratory self. interpretation person, use Gaston Bachelard’s phenomenologically oriented thinking etymological analysis al-nafs.

Flying with respiratory disease.

Patients with respiratory diseases may be at risk during flight because at cruising altitude an important hypobaric hypoxia may occur. The only absolute contraindications to flying in these patients are pneumothorax, bronchogenic cyst and severe pulmonary hypertension. In order to evaluate the risks related to air travel in patients with respiratory diseases, an evaluation of their fitness to f...

Aerial Grasping: Modeling and Control of a Flying Hand

In this paper, we present the design, simulation and experimental validation of a control architecture for a flying hand, i.e., a system made of an unmanned aerial vehicle, a robotic manipulator and a gripper, which is grasping an object fixed on a vertical wall. The goal of this work is to show that the overall control allows the flying hand to approach the wall, to dock on the object by means...

Interactive Person Following and Gesture Recognition with a Flying Robot

Gesture recognition and person following play a vital role in social robotics. In this paper, we present an approach that allows a quadrocopter to follow a person and to recognize simple gestures using an onboard depth camera. This enables novel applications such as hands-free video recording and picture taking. Moving platforms with an onboard camera make the problem of tracking a person highl...

From Visual Guidance in Flying Insects to Autonomous Aerial Vehicles

Investigation of the principles of visually guided flight in insects is offering novel, computationally elegant solutions to challenges in machine vision and robot navigation. Insects perform remarkably well at seeing and perceiving the world and navigating effectively in it, despite possessing a brain that weighs less than a milligram and carries fewer than 0.01% as many neurons as ours does. ...

The Flying Gator: Towards Aerial Robotics in occam-π

The Flying Gator is an unmanned aerial vehicle developed to support investigations regarding concurrent and parallel control for robotic and embedded systems. During ten weeks in the summer of 2010, we designed, built, and tested an airframe, control electronics, and a concurrent firmware capable of sustaining autonomous level flight. Ultimately, we hope to have a robust, open source control sy...
